I'm almost positive there was a Jack Chick tract with a similar (if not exactly the same) topic.

This just keeps getting crazier.

LOL. She was too vetted! Really!

Whatever deity is running things around here, this VP pick is a gift from it.

I also like the centipede metaphor:

"Keeping up with the tidal wave of what’s hitting the fan in Alaska is fast becoming a full-time job. It feels like that old-time video game "Centipede". It’s easy at first to blast those little centipedes as they work their way down the screen, but the longer you play the faster they come and bigger they get, and the more you have to work to keep them in check."

To quote another Palin: 'Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"
The fourth, no fifth, no sixth, no, well among the reasons that make Sarah Palin a disaster....

I simply can't see midwestern, blue-collar conservatives voting for this nutbag.

I mean, sure...she's going to appeal to the extreme-right wingnuts. She's one of their own. But if I know midwesterners (and having grown up there, I think I do), they're going to see Palin as the unqualified, bat-shit-crazy consequence of pandering that she is.

The Republican party has let the Clampetts seize the election, and it's going to hurt them badly with real people.

I am sooooo tired of all of you stupids being so very mean to me, America and the troops. Oh and remember in a post 9/11 world we are all Americans (except for all you meanies and the black people).

The only thing that could truly make this campaign the perfect clusterfuck would be discovering the missing link frozen in the middle of the Alaskan tundra, leaving Palin to defend both her abstinence-only and creationist beliefs at the same time.

"World War II brought an influx of blacks to Alaska as the military began work on the Alaska Highway and to fortify Alaska. Black military engineers and port battalions were assigned to Alaska. More than 3,000 black engineers worked on the Alaska Highway. Black battalions were also assigned to the Aleutian Islands during the Aleutian campaign."

Joe Biden (why haven't we heard a peep from him) has zero experience with the Hispanic community. His state has 1/2 the national average!!

Delaware
Persons of Hispanic or Latino origin, percent, 2006 (b) 6.3%

John McCain's state?
TWICE the national average:
Persons of Hispanic or Latino origin, percent, 2006 (b) 29.2%

This is also good

The founder of the Alaska Independence Party -- a group that has been courted over the years by Sarah Palin, and one her husband was a member of for roughly seven years -- once professed his "hatred for the American government" and cursed the American flag as a "damn flag."

"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government," Vogler said in the interview, in which he talked extensively about his desire for Alaskan secession, the key goal of the AIP.

"And I won't be buried under their damn flag," Vogler continued in the interview, which also touched on his disappointment with the American judicial system. "I'll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home."

Delaware
Black persons, percent, 2006 (a) 20.9%

John McCain's state?
LESS THAN ONE-THIRD the national average:
Black persons, percent, 2006 (a) 3.8%

So Joe Bailo, what's your point? If I follow your logic, John McCain has ZERO experience with the African American community. Right?

Sarah Palin isn't going to be much help in that respect ...

I like the clown car metaphor, particularly because it reminds me of this, but I prefer to think of Palin's scandals as a giant stack of old tires that has caught on fire and just keeps burning and burning and burning.

Based on the title of your post I fully expected to read about something else falling out of one of the Palin's vaginas, maybe a human-wolf hybrid or a sack of Yukon Gold potatoes.

Oh, my sweet, darling Sarah. I thought only Adrian! had the infinite charms to delight me in new and surprising ways with each new day! But you, Sarah, you make me young again! You make me believe I could leap out of this iron lung and dance!

Dance with me, Sarah! Dance with me through the night and whisper honeydew hints of the glorious revelations tomorrow's new dawn brings. For tomorrow's news will outshine all that has come before, and you shall outdo yourself again! And again!

Kiss me, Sarah, O Sarah of my wildest dreams....!

could we get a scorecard on palin? because -- and i consider myself to be moderately well-informed -- i can't keep track of all the atoms in this clusterfuck. some kind of graphic or even a running tally that you all keep updated would be great. call it the clown car. call it the fire hose.

Breaking News: Levi's on his way to the convention! And his mom said they already planned to get married and the baby is "just a bonus"! Also, why won't the mother say whether he graduated or dropped out or what? What's with this "no longer a student" crap?

Dan, will you grab Levi's ass for us?

So one sermon from a guest speaker is the same as Obama spending 20 years listening to Rev. Wright?

Sorry, I'm not seeing equivalency here at all. Just a lot of open-ended jackassery.

The Lies begin to unfurl

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/02/alaska-party-official-says-palin-was-not-a-member/

"On Tuesday night, Ms. Clark said that her initial statement was incorrect and had been based on erroneous information provided by another member of the party whom she declined to identify. The McCain campaign also disputed the Times report, saying that Ms. Palin had been registered consistently as a Republican.

After checking the party’s archives, Ms. Clark said that she could find no documentation that Governor Palin had been a member of the party. She said Ms. Palin attended the party’s 1994 and 2006 conventions and provided a video-taped address as governor to the 2008 convention. "

One reason you can tell the Palin pick is so disasterous is that conservatives like John here have turned into thin-skinned little bitches. The slightest criticism gets their panties in a wad.

Poor babies. Why don't you run home to mommy? Politics is a grown-up sport.

She could almost save face by using the "need to spend time with my family" excuse if she wasn't already a governor. Not sure how they're going to get out of this; it's hilarious how bad the timing was and how shitty their vetting of her was (versus the ten months Gore's team spent on Lieberman, say). God bless Rush Limbaugh for insisting on her as a pick.

So you guys do know she recently met with AIPAC? http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/09/02/1327325.aspx
She's already bought and she's just another one of those Americans that want to support Israel kill little Palestine children with American tax dollars. Iran is Israel's threat, so says Obama AND McCain.

a guest preacher is not "her" preacher. concentrate on the douche who runs the church she attends. there's plenty there.

not that it will matter. dirt only sticks to you if you're a democrat.

I hate her as much as anyone but really, you can hardly get angry at her over a guest preacher at her church. Let's not waste time on stupid things like this. There are more than enough things to attack her on.

McCain = Heffner
Crusty old man surrounded by hot young models.

Unless and until she calls him her spiritual mentor, it's not the same thing as Obama and Wright.

Still, when someone gets up and talks jackassery in front of you and your family, the sane thing to do is leave.

The Palin Preacher also believes that Alaska is a "refuge state", and in the end of days hundreds of thousands of refugees from the lower 48 will flock there, and that the church has to prepare to "minister" to them. The video with him saying this with Palin at his side is on youtube.
