I liked it much better when it was just white splotches on the gray wall.

The addition of fussy, meth-head-sketchbook crystals and throwing up the entire Pantone book has reduced its subversive potential (which most good graffiti art possesses to some degree).

It's OK. But it's hardly great.

It's very pretty and professionally done, these guys both have mad skills. But still I can't help but see it as a missed opportunity to create some large-scale politically conscious work. There's too much shit going down to restrict public art to simple ornamentation.

Artist create morons tag. Some asshole has even tagged the beautifully bolled maple tree on Bellevue by Thomas Park. Tagging a tree? I ask you.

#5, I see that every day :(. At least the tag is blackish/brown and not bright red.

I really like the mural! I'm glad it's not "politically conscious", artists don't always have to be talking about politics to be saying something.

Yes, it's cool but I'm pretty sure they haven't been spending many (if any) 14 hour days on it. It's been over a month and it's not a particularly detailed piece. I work near there and would say I've seen them maybe a couple hours a day... And those cherry picker rentals are pricey! They obviously got a chunk of $ (big one - speculation abounds).

It's great though that they are getting paid and its a professional looking project. I just hope they don't burn through all that money due to rentals and bad weather.

Regarding tagging, at first it seemed that it wouldn't happen out of respect but then when you consider they are getting the biggest tagging coup on the block, there's bound to be other taggers who will try to represent.
