Multitasking is an invention of the 20th century. McCain never warmed up to it.
He looks like a fool, but he may suceed in replacing a debate with a town hall meeting. At least, McCain has less time to try and bring in operatives and control the questions. What Obama really shouldn't do is let the McCain camp switch the VP debate to tomorrow from Oct 2. It might throw Biden off and give more time for damage control.
I hope this is what happens. Obama with 90 minutes of PRIME TIME TV to himself?!?!? Shit, this would be a fucking wet DREAM for the Democrats!!!!
Put a bow on top of it, McCain. Merry Christmas.
The entire country now knows that McCain is insane and Palin is an imbecile. It's over.
Of course, still go out and vote! But it's over.
if the democrats pass a bailout deal today i will blow a gasket. talk about lose-lose-lose.
there's still a slight chance that mccain's endgame has nothing to do with avoiding the debate and everything to do with voting against this widely unpopular bailout. this would help boost his maverick cred and he can point out that obama is voting "present" or with his party as usual. that scenario worries me...
The win in this crazy pre-debate debate about the debate clearly goes to Obama
For once, I think this may be true. I noticed the MSM was not buying into McCain's bullshit, and the fact that Letterman spend his whole show last night ridiculing McCain bodes well.
Is it possible for McCain to spin to his advantage that Obama did not halt his campaign?
There is binary bliss to the following (recently assembled) approach to life:
IF I CAN'T SHARROW IT, I SUSPEND IT.
@7:
It's going to be pretty tough for McPalin to claim "maverick" status on the bail-out plan with so many other GOP Senators (McConnell, Shelby, Bunning, et al), not to mention most Democrats already on-record as opposing it.
How can you be a "maverick" if you're voting with the majority?
