Obama Way Up in Today’s State-by-State Polls

From the mathematically rigorous FiveThirtyEight.com:

On the strength of an abundance of state and national polling, Barack Obama has retaken the lead in our Electoral College projection. Our model now forecasts him to win the election 61.2 percent of the time; it also gives him a slight, half-point advantage in the popular vote.

Sleep a bit more soundly tonight. I know I will.

It's not official until Charles Mudede wraps this all in unintelligible sophistic prose.

But good news is good news.

Even if the Republican fuckers are gonna disenfranchise minorities and people who were foreclosed out of their homes, and fuck with the Diebold boxes, and anything else they can get away with.

Yeah, Like Obama was ever going to loose Washington State. I'd really be more worried about the Govenor's race right now.

BTW, I have yet to see any pro-Gregiore ads on the television; but those pro-Rossi ads are everywhere......

I see Gregiore ads on TV all the time.

I've definitely seen more Rossi ads, and at "better" times (i.e. during programs that draw a lot of viewers, like football games), but I've seen a lot of Gregoire ads too.

electoral-vote.com is an awesome, awesome site for state by state polling. Updated daily by a democrat abroad so there's a nice world view spin on it. Good blurb on Tzipi Livni yesterday.

So that's only 3:2 that I won't have to shoot myself. I'm still not sleeping well.

All this public fretting and nail biting needs to stop. The best thing we can do now is act like we are going to win the presidency that we are entitled to. Showing fear and weakness will drive the independents away. They are attracted to strength, to winners. At his core, Obama is a winner.

Back in the 60s, Martin Luther King must have been worried and scared shitless at times, but did he ever publically wine and moan about that his cause was hopeless? Hell no. He held his head high, looked straight ahead towards his goals, and led the way forward knowing full well that he was on the right side of history.
