No Need To Panic

posted by on September 12 at 9:51 AM

The truth is returning to reality

While the presidential campaign’s back and forth was largely suspended on Thursday’s anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, ABC World News used the occasion to run extended excerpts of Charles Gibson’s exclusive interview with Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin, her first televised interview since coming on the national stage. ABC ran 10 minutes of the interview at the top of its broadcast, and another 2 1/2 minutes at the close.

Reviews of her performance tend to be more negative than positive, with a focus on her labored efforts to deal with foreign policy questions. The AP says Palin “struggled with foreign policy, unable to describe President Bush’s doctrine of pre-emptive strikes against threatening nations and acknowledging she’s never met a foreign head of state.”

As with all liars, time is not on her side. Any amount of time (even two months) is her enemy.

I wouldn't call these so much "interviews" as a kind of Indoctrination by one of the Party Bosses. It happens when anything fresh and natural tries to enter the System...they have to make sure she's actually going to toe the line with the Establishment if they let her in.

You believe in Manmade Global Warming, don't you???

You want to visit more foreign countries, don't you???

And so on...

#1, you're nonsensical. Party Bosses? Which party? The Media Party? The Democratic Party? Maybe the Democratic Party is the Establishment, and the Establishment is going to "let in" Sarah Palin?

You are not George Orwell. Stop capitalizing things that don't need capitalizing, or maybe go back to Free Republic, etc where that sort of thing is considered clever, even though none of those schmucks have even read 1984.

@1: Ahhh... the resident douchebag troll checks in.

This interview was an easy softball. Of course, Republicans are quick to both condemn any criticism of her as "elitism", and cover up her flaw with a simple "But... but... she's a hockey mom!"

At this point, the McCain campaign has to lie to get into office. I just hope that people wake up to the fact that she would be an unmitigated disaster as vice-president, before it's too late.

& BTW, canada, cabo, and military bases in kuwait & germany DO NOT COUNT AS FOREIGN TRAVEL. this woman didn't even has a fucking passport prior to her fluff-the-troops visit to Kuwait.

it's easier to kill foreigners if you don't know that THEY'RE JUST LIKE US & we are not god's chosen nation.

If it wasn't for Rachel Maddow's show on MSNBC at 8pm last night I would have missed it.
