My Gift to the Internet

posted by on September 11 at 11:20 AM

A friend of a friend—who shall remain nameless, since he is an employee of the Alaska state government—went to a Palin rally and took some unflattering photos of Palin. Which he sent to me.

Which I am posting, in case anyone ever needs some unflattering photos of Palin. For a post. Or a blog. Or a fake blog. Or whatever.

Click on these small images to get the big ones:

Not nearly as unflattering as the one of her standing in front of a 49-star flag:

Hey Brendan, I don't think you realize how much this stuff upsets PC, who pores over the Gallup poll and Real Clear websites for hours every morning just to tell you what we're doing wrong. You should really consider all the time she puts into those rants of hers that we ignore before being so negative. THINK OF THE POLLS!

I'm really tired of the childishness at the Slog.

It does not help anybody when you put up "unflattering" pictures of someone.

What's the fucking point of that.

You people are pissing me off.

Focus on the issues.

Focus on the issues.

Focus on the issues.

Don't give the other side ammunition.

God.

We've been writing a lot about the issues, Anne. Don't deny us a bit of fun while we're at it.

You know, if these were photos of McCain, we'd merely call them "silly" photos. I have no idea why they're particularly "unflattering" or why that quality is important.

Don't presume to be in my head, Gloria. I would've called them "unflattering" photos of McCain. And I don't like the word "silly."

In the last two she looks a bit like Rudy Giuliani in drag.

Now, you only need to find 465,973 more unflattering photos, and you'll have caught up with the number of unflattering photos of Hillary Clinton that the supposedly liberal news ran of her during her run for President.

Most people vote on personality, not issues. Everyone who votes on issues has already made up their mind. This election, like all its predecessors, will be decided by the segment of the American electorate that is primarily swayed by cute talking points, identity politics, and shameless fear appeals. When you think about it, it's kind of amazing things haven't completely fallen apart already.
