It would be bad for the Democrats if she withdrew although I have to admit I'd probably sleep better knowing that the absolute worse case scenario in the world is no longer an option.

Palin is an epic failure.
I wonder how it would go over. Unless they get an equally wacko Christian, they lose the far right. Unless they get woman, they lose those misguided women who would vote for that mess, no matter what (although I don't think their numbers are very big).
Plus how would it look? What about all that money that supposedly poured in after they named her? All the adoration showered on her?
I think it would make McCain look even more weak and feeble-minded than he already looks.

What she doesn't realize is that not being up on the facts is seen as a PLUS in some sectors of this country. There are a lot of scary people in this country that believe that all you need to make any decision is some good sense and good Christian values and anything beyond that is just useless elitist book-learnin'.

Just read the entire column and it is amazing that even in FINALLY seeing some of what the sane world saw instantly, Parker still isn't ready to concede every obvious failing of Palin's, only the most obvious. But I guess if they were smart, they wouldn't be Republicans.

If SHE doesn't like Palin anymore... well, Palin may be running out of luck.

1: it wouldn't be bad for the Democrats at all. It would make McCain look like even more of an impulsive idiot that he already looks.
Or she could be thinking that McCain will get elected, which would make Palin an unmitigated disaster, should she become president.
