Local Press Does…Good?

That Sarah Palin biography that’s sold out everywhere was published by Epicenter Press, which is a Seattle-based publisher that publishes books about…um…Alaska. Sadly, this is the biggest news to hit Seattle publishing in years. We need about twenty more small presses, stat.

I love that the line above the title of the new edition of the biography is this:

“Sarah Palin is a politician of eye-popping integrity.” — Fox News Network

You can read the first chapter of the biography on the Epicenter Press website.

Is that the real cover? That's a horrible design. It looks like the subhead is pushing her off the side of the book.

Her photo on the top post at SLOG probably increased web hits by almost 12.

"Eye-popping integrity"... that's right up there with "Heckuva job, Brownie."

My eyes feel fine (a little watery, that's all), but I think my brain is exploding.

Oh yeah, and Sarah has totally fucked up frameless glasses for all the cool people. Now I guess we'll have to go back to the black plastic Clark Kents like I wore in fourth grade. Wait, I think I still have them somewhere...

Eye-popping integrity, indeed. My eyes popped when I learned that she hired an Abramoff henchman, when I learned that she's been on McCain's hitlist of Big Bad Entitlements three times, when I learned that she lied about opposing the Bridge to Nowhere, when I learned that she fired the entire city government of Wasilla because she didn't like the way they looked at her, when I learned that she habitually uses the power of her office to settle personal scores. Yes, eye-popping indeed.

Never forget that Seattle is the birthplace of most of our nation's America-hating neocons.

Not literally, but they came from here and the counties next to us.

We created these monsters - and we shall have to drive the stake through their hearts ourselves.

Honor. Duty. Country.

All demand we do our part to put down these monsters.

More and more, I think McCain should have picked Kathy Harris. At least she hasn't got a crazy backwoods family.

You're an idiot, Will. Most neocons come from here? Like fuck they do. Stop commenting.
