Theater Like Shrek, Only Awesome

onBroadway producers are working on making American Psycho: the Musical a reality. I think this is a great idea, and I hope they bring the trial run to Seattle, as they’ve done with Shrek. Also, I hope they can somehow convince Christian Bale to reprise his film role. His performance made American Psycho, in my opinion, one of the few book-to-film adaptations that completely blows away its source material in terms of quality.

TRY GETTING A RESERVATION AT DORSIA NOW YOU FUCKING STUPID BASTARD!!!
I made the bad mistake of reading Silence of the Lambs and American Psycho back-to-back on a cross-country camping trip and was unable to sleep for about two straight weeks.
book was better.

Take that, demon barber of Depp street.
Uh, wait a minute, would this be a musical filled with Phil Collins songs? Don't know about that.
christian bale? christian bale? why do we need christian bale when we have our very own patrick-bateman-in-the-making MR. POE????
The book reigns. The movie's no slouch, however.
@7, I would tend to agree, actually. Although Poe affects too much of a disdain for labels and other surface folderol...he's a Patrick Bateman of the People, methinks...
@6 Scoff if you like. However, as for me, I would only see the musical if both "Sussudio" and "Hip to be Square" are included.
"I'm in murders and executions"
I just re-watched American Psycho recently and it is great no matter how many times you see it. I think my favorite part is the long riff he does about Genesis. Or maybe the weird business card comparison scene. Or...oh fuck it's all good.
@7&8: Poe is not only cooler than Christian Bale, but he also punches and assaults waaaaay more women.
But does he think he dropped a chainsaw on a screaming, retreating scared hooker? Taste their brains?
K you fucking rule. That movie is unreal
