First 20 or 30 seconds are funny. After that, it just keeps going for no reason.

Greeeaaat, just what we need - associating the Obama campaign with the Parisian Communards.

And we all remember what happened to THEM, right?

I disagree with everyone. I loved it. Anything that equates McCain with Jabert is amazing. It made me happy.

If I recall correctly, the basic plot to Les Mis is: Boy meets girl, everybody else dies.

The battle of the Barricades in Les Misérables celebrates the revolution of 1832, which brought down the reign of the bourgeoisie king Louis Philippe. The communards burnt Paris in 1870 after the French lost the Franco-Prussian war and the Parisians where pretty much abandoned by their governement.

Also I love that song, and while it's a satire, it's what I feel about this election. And while the Right in this country will make a fuss about such statements, I'd be willing to tear up the streets for Obama. I like McCain cast as Javert and Palin as Madame Thenadier.

The only funny part was the McCain/Palin cameo.

Error in my previous post...
The rebellion in 1832 did not bring down Louis Philippe's reign, that didn't happen until 1848. After all the all the fighters friends at the barricade died except Marius.
