Pronounced like it's spelled: fnarf. Fnnn-arf. One syllable, if you can manage it. Fah-narf is unpleasant but tolerable. Only my worst enemies say "EFFIN arf", though I get a lot of "effin' fnarf" which isn't QUITE the same thing.
