2008 John McCain’s Chief of Staff…

on…is a fag. That doesn’t sit well with the homos, of course, seeing as McCain is pretty damn anti-gay. (Pathetic LCR endorsement notwithstanding.) I wonder how it’s going to play with the religious right?

Of course he's gay. Of course.
Jesus Christ.
Amazing
The documentaries about the 2008 election will be box-sets
ohhhhhhh
ommmmmmmm
geeeeeeeee
Well, you see, he's just a different KIND of gay guy. Just like Sarah Palin is a different KIND of feminist. You know, the kind that would rather see tfellow Americans wallow under the glass ceiling, unable to demonstrate or actualize their love, so long as they remain in power.
Just shows to go ya, even a homo can put the unbridled pursuit of personal power above justice.
Please, oh please, let's make a big deal out of this so the fundies will stay home. Please.
AH!
"The source told me, Ironically, that Buse and his partner of over ten years had a sling hanging in, of all places, the closet. (And Buse's screenames on AIM? dupontpig2008 and dccouple2play)

McCain '08
Feigned Republican outrage at this shocking intrusion into his private life and the "hypocrisy" of the left in 5...4...3...2...
We can joke and revel and laugh and enjoy our moment of schadenfreude but at the end of the day... it will not matter one bit. Not to John McCain, not to Sarah Palin, not to the electorate, not to anyone, really.
The McCain/Palin camp will argue "see, we are a tolerant and diverse "big tent" and shame on you intolerant liberals for intruding into people's personal lives" and life will go on. And Buse will continue to work for McCain, and if the Senator wins, will probably fill an important role in the Administration.
And again... life will go on. Don't get me wrong, I'm delighting in this turn events just as much as anyone.. but it won't freaking matter one bit. Sorry to say.
The adjective "pathetic" is redundant when applied to the Log Cabin Republicans
I cannot fathom why a homo would be supporting the republicans.
I agree that while this should be pointed out, this shouldn't be pushed as "a weapon" for the Democrats.
However, *if* McCain or Palin say something anti-homosexual in public, they can now be easily called out: "So, do you not respect the work of Buse, then?"
However that's a big if. McCain and Palin are not going to say a word about their stances on homosexuality from here on out if they know what they're doing.
So, basically what Bernie said.
how dare you invade his private life!
Being a gay Republican is like being a Jewish Nazi -- incomprehensible
Could I just mention to you, in a moment of seriousness, that I spent five-and-a-half years in a prison cell. I was never turned on. I didn't beat off. I didn't have sex with men or women. And I spent those five-and-a-half years because I love this country, not because I was looking to support common-sense civil rights legislation when I got out.
This isn't something to use as a weapon -- it's something to celebrate! And as often as possible!
We need to let John McCain's supporters know that we're thrilled that his campaign supports LGBT rights. Not only is this sex-crazed staff-guy gay -- no marriage for him, thanks! -- but even the LCR think McCrazy is A-OK, and they wouldn't even support Bush!
All Republicans need to be frequently reminded of how proud we are of them about all this.
will the mainstream press report this?
@14: I'm sure John McCain supports the work of Buse. I'm sure McCain views him as a trusted and loyal servant. As did the employers of Uncle Tom and Aunt Jemima. They just didn't view them as fully human. So what's changed?
It's not hypocrisy, it's infiltration!
Looks like an oppressed minority (homosexuals) is oppressing members (LCR) of its own minority. The glories of diversity ring on!
I think the Democrats stir anti-gay hatred for their own political ends.
Evidence: Marriage is not anything governed by the President or Congress. Yet, malicious Democrats have somehow made it an issue as if the President could decide such things!
In reality, if you're talking about marriage there are various state and local and business institutions involved in how relationships are treated.
However, Democrats polarize the country by making "gay marriage" a national issue.
In reality, I think that most, if not all gays would prefer the focus be on tolerance, fairness in the work place and just overall people not making a BFD out of it.
That's the way we Republicans see it.
@22 Don't be an ass. If there was a Gay Nazi Party, we'd be "oppressing" those idiots as well.
You don't give up your right to morality, ethics, standards or common sense just because you're a member of a minority.
If you don't know this, learn it. If you do know it, take your baiting elsewhere, please.
@24: No, you don't give up your right to free thinking and your own personal political dispositions just because you happen to be a member of a sexual minority.
Your arrogance has you blinded.
So what is the news that DC is awash with closeted gay men
Bar after bar are full of them, all working for the Fed Govt.
Old news, new names
No, the mainstream is not interested as the networks/editorial staffs are full of closet cases as well
To top it off, THERE ARE EVEN CLOSETED LESBIANS in high places, like the State Dept and Congress .....
Gee whiz, gee whiz, oh gosh.
@23- Wouldn't fairness in the work place include being able to have your mate and the caretaker of your children on your health insurance? Don't you imagine tolerance should include being able to see your seriously ill partner in the hospital and being treated appropriately as immediate family by the hospital staff, or is wanting to hold the hand of the person you love while they're dying "throwing it in people's faces?" Marriage isn't just about cake and giving elderly female relatives an opportunity to be offended by how you addressed the invitations.
Well, I want to know if Carly Fiorina (who's also advising JohnnyMac) is wiretapping Buse... & Palin... and... & Everybody!
^..^
