I love that the wife of Sir Evelyn de Rothschild doesn't like Barack Obama because he is "elitist."

How come nobody has talked about Samantha Ronson (the woman with the fingers that have been inside Lindsay Lohan) DJing the H&M pre-opening party? Christsakes, and you call yourselves journalists.

I love that her husband's name is Evelyn. Do you think people mistake them for a lesbian couple?

Also, she says she doesn't like John McCain and doesn't trust him. In my mind, that means that she must be a racist. What other explination could there be for her endorsement of McCain over Obama?

The "Elitist" thing cracked me up when I read it this morning.

I think racism is the only plausible explanation here.

Racism is only a symptom of being really stupid. It could just as easily be sexism.

Yes, bounce her off the DNC -- except you probably can't as most DNC posts are elected by those who participate in party stuff and/or are filled by virtue of holding some other party or public office.

So, you might have to wait till next Jan. when her state party reorganizes......

And yes should also bounce Liberman out of Dem Party.....what kind of party lets traitors exist within its ranks?

"McCain locks down the East-coast, old-money Baroness vote"
is a headline that should run again and again, alternating with "Oil industry lobbyists prefer McCain/Palin by 10 to 1!"

Maybe throw in "Banking Industry titans prefer McCain's laissez-faire regulatory approach." for variety.

Ehhh, 40 yrs ago white people were resorting to violence in order to stop black people from being able to have even their most basic rights as citizens...of course they aren't going to magically decide to vote for a black guy for the most powerful office in the nation.

A lot of people, even when they support the same things Obama does, just think he's "untrustworthy" or elitist/uppity, and god forbid if he ever even mention race or else he's alienating all the white people out there. Oh well.

This is just another effort by the Pentaverate (The queen, the Vatican, the Rothchild's and Colonel Sanders before he went tets up.) to subvert the process. I hear they just completed their tri-annual meeting at their secret Colorado mansion known as The Meadows.

Oh no! Now that McCain has the Rothschild vote, every one of her two or three friends is going to be voting for him now!

What do you want to bet that 99% of the country has never even heard of this idiot?

Aw, I wanted to be the first to laugh at a CEO of a holding company with a knighted husband and homes in two nations calling Obama an elitist.

Oh well.

Of course. Even if McCain totally ruins the economy (and he would, no doubt) she'll still have her place in the Hamptons and all the other richy rich bric-a-brac.

Check the awesome interview from last year on Lady Die in Portfolio Mag. Where the elite meet to eat...the poor.

@2 beat me to it ... but I don't give a shit! Some things are just worth repeating:

"This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don't like him," she said of Obama in an interview with CNN's Joe Johns. "I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him."

Forester is the CEO of EL Rothschild, a holding company with businesses around the world. She is married to international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. Forester is a member of the DNC's Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York.

"I feel like he is an elitist."

Stop it -- you're killin' me!
