Thank god, if he had ruined my Debate Party tonight I'da been pissed. I've got a lot of people coming over, including random Obama strangers who found me on the Obama event website. This should be interesting!

Oh my God, a candidate will attend a presidential debate? What bravery! We are so fortunate he will grace us with his presence.

I can't believe this is news. Why is McCain treating the presidential race like a class where you're graded in participation?

Oooh this should be interesting. I'm a little annoyed because McCain just guaranteed that I'll be up all night watching due to time zone issues.

But I look forward to seeing Obama shine!!

Great! now we'll play the McCain drinking game, where you take a shot every time he says POW.

I was thinking of drinking every time he says "my friends" or alludes to his 5 1/2 years at that resort in Vietnam. My bottle of Maker's Mark is ready!

he looks like a pussy now.

i'd imagine he got an earful from his fellow congressmen yesterday.

this means he can't weasel out of letting the planet see Palin think next thursday.

MSNBC barely stops short of calling McCain a doddering old fool. Love it.

8, he would have looked like a much bigger pussy if he HADN'T shown up. even the knuckle-draggers know when someone has run away from a fight, and they don't respect it. remember how popular bradley was until he backed down from al gore's weekly debate challenge? he disappeared overnight. i was hoping mccain was stupid enough to stay away. oh well.

he'll say he dashed away to deal with the financial crisis (krugman had some choice words yesterday about how he "dealt"), then came back just in time to fight the black dragon and save the nation from the muslim interloper. he'll hold onto some knuckle-draggers--no matter what nonsense he splutters tonight--just for showing up.

I hope they spend the first five minutes of the debate taking him to task for being such a chickenshit.
