They're probably getting their heads bashed in - the major media outside are being attacked by the cops as anarchist Libertarians run rampant destroying property and Gwen Ifill of PBS McNeil Lehrer News Hour is tear gassed.

This is so 1968 - but this time it's the Republicants that are incompetent.

Shit in your hand and throw it. Make funny faces while you're pushing the mud. Make a vicious face while you toss it.

You'll make every news channel. I promise.

I'm sure they'll be much more fun when they're liquored up at Camp/Jetset/Saloon later.

The flag to fag ratio is alarmingly high in that room.

Add this to a long list of gay myths debunked.

The world needs to know that not all gay men have fashion sense, not all lesbians like lentil soup and not all queers have the sense to not support a party that would like to legislate them out of existence.

also, OT, where the fuck is ECB? On vacation? Comatose? On sabbatical? Canned? Martyred in the name of St Hillary?

Her blog is kaput; she apparently hasn't paid to keep her domain name...

Weird.

I've never understood Log Cabin Republicans at all. I don't yell at them at dinner parties but I wouldn't fuck one of 'em even if he were the most beautiful man on earth and was kneeling at my feet begging me for it. I just would feel too dirty fucking a traitor to the cause.

You should have interviewed some of the attendees. I wonder how many of them would have gone "I dunno what this is, some guy gave me a ticket and said 'free lunch'."

Is this speaker new to American and John McCain? How could anyone even awake for part of a day not remember that McCain is against gay marriage and civil unions, voted for the Defense of Marriage act and still says that Don't Ask Don't Tell is a great policy? Where is the inclusion--that you money grubbing repubs got a tiny room that you couldn't even fill at the RNC?? Get a life, open your eyes and se the hate.

In honor of a Log Cabin Republican gathering... the fabulous musical number from American Dad.

But then again, how could it not be argued that the gay voice of the LCR within the GOP fosters some discussion amongst the rank and file, which brings about a little understanding, which brings about a little change.
It seems unnecessary to negate a whole political party entirely, considering that ideally the party of Lincoln should be as inclusive as its original principals.

Because mainstream Republicans don't pay the slightest bit of attention to Log Cabin Republicans, except to gain assurances that they still value money more than they do equal rights.
The Republican party has effected zero positive change for gays.

The protesters should have flown in hometown girl, Chi Chi LaRue to entertain and riot...

@21: Yes, but some do pay attention. I think it's better to make a little dent than no dent at all. It certainly isn't causing any damage to gay rights.

hahah how sad...they dont want them and still hang around. IF YOU SEE...they are all white, nto a single latino, black, asian or any other "minority"...just a bunch of self haters ...sad, sad. They dont stand with their LGBT community. They stand for the republicans values which are self hate.

These homocons are a joke. And speaking of walking jokes, where were the well known apologists like Andrew Sullivan and Chris Crain?
