The current record is 120 hours and 23 minutes. There will apparently be "medical professionals" on hand to determine if contestants "are truly 'watching' or are simply staring blankly at the screen." I've got to say, sometimes staring blankly at the screen is the best way to watch a movie. For example: Last night, I tried to watch Redbelt. Phew.... I thought they were going to say that medical professionals would be on hand, you know, in case someone has medical problems from not sleeping for 5 days. I guess making sure they adhere to the rules is important too.
