Jen, what a wonderful article. Thanks for the link.
That glass slash across the front of the building is ghastly. But then, a cut to its face is fine by me...I loved the old Stone building and used to visit it often when I lived in NYC, wayyyyyy back in the day.
The new one doesn't really do it for me.
Hey that's in my neighborhood! I must say I feel exactly the opposite of @1...
I found the old building cold, imposing, and unfriendly. The pictures don't do justice to the newly unveiled incarnation. It's rather beautiful in person, with interesting plays on reflection and texture. I say wait until you see it to judge it :)
@1, thanks for assuming I'm just another impoverished hipster with no means to have visited NYC and, yes, seen it to judge it.
yo i'm here to give you a zerbert lmao that's a huxtablism you can take to the bank!!!
Wow... I was just there a few days ago. Stayed at the Trump Tower on Columbus Circle. Never even noticed...
@3 I made no assumptions; my post was directed at the general public
Both may be acceptable, but "lollipop" looks correct to me ...
