Books Heavy Petting and the City

HarperCollins is going to publish the teenage diaries of Carrie Bradshaw as a two-book series aimed at teenage girls. The series will be called The Carrie Years, and it will be written by Candace Bushnell, Sex and the City’s creator.

As the father of a tween girl, let me just say:
"Ugh!"
It will, of course, be made into at least a TV show if not a movie and it will, I'm sure, star Miley Cyrus.
Sigh.
It'd be awesome if the teenage Carrie met Adrian Mole and they both wrote about it.
Paul, did you hear about this series in the sex and the city movie? If so, it may not actually exist.
Candace Bushnell: more or less of a hack than Dan Brown?
