Hate Is A Strong Word

And I hate Sarah Palin.

But in other news, the inevitable art onslaught featuring her offensive face has begun.

You just summed up in one word why you will not win. Hate. Just take a minute to really think about who it is you hate. You hate women. You hate yourself. You hate the idea of more children, more daughters...more women...because you have been trained to hate women. And you fear what these people have to say. So you hate, because hate is easy.

Furries!

It's what she's about.

That and exporting America's oil reserves to her comrades overseas.

But what did you expect from a secessionist like Sarah Palin?

Mrs. Lucky, if people didn't win elections because they hate somebody, we'd never have winning elections.

The GOP has been very successful in getting people to hate other people. Mrs. Palin's speech tonight is a weak attempt at that very same thing. Luckily, I think most people will feel the same way as Jen. Sarah is not a nice person.

I love women, including myself, but Sarah Palin has never done anything to benefit the human race.

She is awful and useless.

I just can't help but wonder why Sarah (Biblical name) did not stone her daughter out side the gates of Juneau for her un-Biblical out of wedlock pregnancy! What sort of leader is she that she can't stand by her Biblical principles? She's not getting my vote.

Hate? Hate is what I heard coming out of Ms. Palin's well-painted mouth this evening. Bilious hate for big cities, for those who might relate to "urban" (yeah, we know, Sarah, you mean BLACK) areas, and for those who think our better days are ahead of us.

What we got this evening from that unqualified husk of a candidate was an amateurish "speech" filled with lies, mischaracterizations, and ridiculous platitudes.

Hate, Sarah Palin? I've got your hate right here.

I adore Sarah Palin. She is the Republican nominee I've dreamed of my entire life. I never thought such a creature could exist, could have all of Sarah's incredible qualities all in the same mortal body.

This morning I awoke to delightful news about Sarah; something I'd never even thought of. Tomorrow will be the same. She will surprise me and put a smile on my face. Sarah, where have you been all my life?

I don't hate -- I love just like a Republican, the most lovingest people around! In fact, you can't stop them from loving! Not in our public restrooms, not in their Craigslist ads, not anywhere!

And is there any Republican more loving than Sarah "Hooker Heels" Palin? Why she was a font of love while spewing her lies and venom tonight! Love doesn't get more adorable than that!

And the Republicans really think this line of complete nonsense works, huh? They need to stick to stealing elections. That's the only thing that's worked for them in years.

I find her just as repulsive as Chaney. Gender has nothing to do with it. All McSame needed was another fucking ditto-head and he got it in this compleat TWIT of a VP.

@7: Hmmmm...so you are telling me that if there was a DEM behind Sarah Palin's name, you wouldn't be heaping praise upon her?
Yeah, right. Personally, I could care less if they are donkeys or elephants. What we need to look at are RESULTS. I am INDEPENDENT. I will vote for the people who I think can do the job. What has Obama done- besides talk? TALK IS CHEAP...people on this slog board have made that glaringly obvious to me today.

this speech will live forever on vh1 reruns, with historical/hysterical comments from c-list comics. she's an inexplicable blip in our strange history. she'll be replaced by monday.

@13: have you ever made a mistake and been forgiven? You can't blame Republicans, conservatives, Christians, whoever(insert label here) and not realize that they have all been given a chance to correct and/or try to learn from their mistakes. That's unconditional LOVE- ever experience it? And even if they are hypocrites in your eyes- what good is it to condemn them forever? How can anyone grow or change if they are condemned and labeled? Its easy to be ignorant to the truth, to fear what is right and just, and to HATE. And there are people around you, everywhere, like myself who will step aside and let you say what you want, because it is one of our lawful rights. But I have heard enough. The DNC is over. The RNC is going to be hated on and ignored. But when the time comes, the American people will vote for the people who are right for the job.

@15:quote from tonights speech: “I had the privilege of living most of my life in a small town. I was just your average hockey mom, and signed up for the PTA because I wanted to make my kids’ public education better. When I ran for city council, I didn’t need focus groups and voter profiles because I knew those voters, and knew their families, too. Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown. And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves. I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities.”

@16: you just described the way women have always been treated in this society...shame on you for continuing the patriarchal b.s.

@19: not that its any of your business, but I have considered myself an independent ever since I was 18 and voted for Clinton. Next I voted for Bush. And I have voted for Green Party, Libertarian, and I just voted Constitution Party in this primary a few weeks ago.

It's a good thing you said you're an INDEPENDENT, because you're sure write like a fundie Republican shill. Why is that, I wonder? And I ask that with lots of love.

Quote from the CS Monitor: "What's missing is the acknowledgement the Palin family deserves for its strength of character and commitment to core values. Mother and daughter have demonstrated their devotion to the sanctity of life by carrying through pregnancies that many politicians and political families would have aborted. Mother and daughter have embraced the responsibility for raising children other candidates might have dismissed as inconvenient.

Media attacks on Sarah and Bristol Palin appear to be calculated to weaken conservative Christian support for Palin, and ultimately for the McCain presidential candidacy. What the media fail to understand is that conservative Christians don't expect people to be morally perfect, and they are quick to forgive when people admit their sin and accept the consequences of their behavior." And that, my friends, is the truth. Word!

@15,

Palin has a fantastic record of raising taxes, wasting the money raised, and spending even more money -- putting her town and state into debt. Great results there. Do you even bother looking at politicians' records or do you just believe everything they say? (Unless they're Democrats, in which case they're just spewing empty promises.)

Mrs. Lucky-I hate you and Sarah Palin, because I can! The reason I can is because in this formerly great country we have the right to do or say mostly what we want. A right quickly being taken away from us by so-called christians and republicans. You can say you aren't a republican all you want, but people who are truly for the working class and poor and minorities and the environment, etc. would never, ever, ever vote republican. You know that, but would never admit it. You are either very rich or very stupid. And by the way,there-is-no-god, and I am so going to enjoy when you all learn that and have nothing to hide your petty little selves behind anymore. You will find this out soon and I will love seeing you all weep and wail, trying to figure out what the fuck is happening, and searching desperately for the next "thing" you can use in place of religion to cover up all your stupidity and mistakes!

For those of you saying you hate Sarah Palin:

She is the most popular governor in America. Her approval rating is in the 80-90% range. Her approval rating AMONG DEMOCRATS is in the MID 70% range. (Compare that to the approximately 10% approval rating for the democratic controlled Congress).

WHY IS THAT??

Is it because Alaskans--including Alaskan democrats--are stupid? Or is it because you are myopic, hate-filled, prejudiced, and hopelessly out of touch?

It's a good year for DEMographics. We will end up with a Black President OR a Woman Vice President. What's NOT to like? Social Change people, Social Change.

Only 5 US Presidents had brown eyes.

All US Presidents since Nixon had blue eyes.

Get Yer Hate On.

I'm amazed at the comments on this site... Many of you must have had some really awful experiences as you grew up to feel the way you do. I know you don't like Palin (or at least you say you don't)... Does she remind you of your mother? Do you resent her because she reminds you of the things YOU could have become? That's alright - I know: you hate me too... I'll pray for you anyway.
