"Here's the only Gregoire sign I've ever seen in Seattle," says Slog tipper DJ in response to my post today about the absence of Gregoire yard signs in Seattle. "It's located by my office building near 1633 Westlake. I did see a few on the way to Portland a month ago. Way outnumbered by Rossi though! He is truly scary!" Have you seen a Gregoire yard sign in Seattle? Send me a picture....

Many voters, particularly those who listen to the blame-the-government slant from 950 KJR (sports radio) djs, are virulently anti-Gregoire because of her alleged role in losing the Sonics. In a close election, the anger from former Supes fans very well might bring her down.

There are lots of Gregoire signs in Olympia, though there are also some yards that have both Obama and Rossi signs which is, you know ...dumb. The BIAW also put up a big billboard on I5 S that says "Voting for Obama? We need change in Olympia too!"

I was in Eastern WA last week and saw several Gregoire signs along Hwy20...more than I expected. Sprinkle in a few Obama ones as well and maybe there is cause for optimism?

I don't really wanna take a photo of them, but there are a bunch of Gregoire signs all over North Seattle, at least in Ravenna, Wedgwood and Mapleleaf where I spend most of my time. The only Rossi signs I've seen have been in the lower Bryant area, around where 35th Ave NE meets up with Sand Point Way. (One Rossi sign is HUGE.)

I've seen them in apartment dwellers windows, so I'm not taking photos of them...

Note: I was in Topeka Kansas this weekend and saw quite a few Obama signs, and very few McCain signs...but it probably doesn't mean much. I'm guessing the Republicans don't see the need to spending much on yard signs for a state as Red as Kansas.
