My dad, who was something like 10 when his father the Air Force Colonel was stationed in Brazil, says that John McCain, short and old as he is, is younger than him.

Admittedly, he was like 4 or 5 when my dad was there, and they didn't like to visit Panama much, cause all the Navy brats were all hoity toity back then.

So he's not that old.

Just older than Reagan when he developed full-blown Alzheimer's, that's all.

I see McCain more as a Baltar figure, myself.
