Dude, I play computer games way better when stoned. But the munchies totally dont help with that.
Marijuana can be quite helpful in, say, team sports where the effect of it can help keep one's mind clear and focus on the action at hand - a lessener of distractions. It also seems to lessen the sense of fatigue and minor aches.
The downside is that it can also make you susceptible to covering someone from your own team by accident.
Marijuana is very much a performance enhancing drug; when I engage in tests of endurance (running, biking, etc.) I find that I push myself harder and focus more after having smoked a little (or a lot). Anecdotal, sure, but I doubt I'm the only one out there upon whom marijuana has that effect.
Competitive Eating anyone?
@3: Same here. I also hike harder up trails with steep elevation gains when I've smoked a little.
Pot suppresses my appetite. If I'm hungry and I want to smoke a bowl, I have to eat first.
#4 beat me to it.
Someone should do a study to test how marijuana affects the productivity of adults with ADD.
Well, it definitely makes housework more appealing.
There is a school of psychologists that use anecdotal evidence to show that marijuana positively affects the productivity levels of students with ADD and ADHD. I have been told that they won't publish these findings: 1) because they are primarily anecdotal; 2) they don't want to encourage over- and misdiagnosis of ADD and ADHD (something that I believe is already rampant); and 3) they don't want to encourage use of marijuana in the general populace (preserving it for their own use, those crafty psychologists).
When I get stoned I just want to have sex and go to sleep. What's up with all you productive WA stoners???
I wish they had sumo matches on US TV.
I'll wake up saturday morning, smoke a doob, then clean frantically for the next 4 hours around the house.
But if I smoke at night, I veg out and relax and have a wonderful nights sleep.
Weed, the wonder drug :D
