Hugo Ludeña’s Gilberto Y Efrein (2003), chromogenic print, 16 by 24 inches

At Greg Kucera Gallery. (Gallery site here. The show closes Saturday!)

There’s nothing much special about this photograph, which is exactly why I like it. It portends a world in which gay marriage is so normal as to be barely noticeable.

I think that picture is taken at All Pilgrims Church on Capital Hill there at Broadway and Mercer. It looks it and their former pastor Mark (last name is escaping me).

Wow, that's beautiful.

Man, fuck you, Stranger. You make me want to live in Seattle.

I'm pretty sure I saw those two studs on

call me old fashioned, but I don't think it's normal to marry your identical twin brother.

Someday I, too, will marry a hot uncut stud.

guys, that is efren chacon and gilberto salas, and unfortunately, they're not married anymore. efren works for POCAAN and gilberto for Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. they were both mr. gay latino seattle (at different times, natch). the wedding reception was interrupted by crazy-ass fundies who tried to trash the sanctuary. i believed they were busted.

the pastor is mark travis, all pilgrims' first gay minister, and he resigned about a month or two ago. he is also a terrific gay dad of three with his partner michael tomberg.

@8 That's what I was here to say.

@8 This should have been called Paco y Paco.

And if you do marry your identical twin brother, I really don't think its normal to broadcast the wedding night on pay-per-view.

I love how gay people here mock gay marriage simply based on appearances.

We mock straight marriages based on appearances, as well.

Sweet matching goatee's guy's.

Sweet matching goatee's guy's. These two look like they went through a rift in time and now they're getting married to their own selves.
