My cousins used to live in Edina. I even went to a bat mitzvah there.

Dan, why the hell are you in Edina? That's like the Orange County of the Twin Cities.

Oh, and those "____ Bans Guns in These Premises" signs are thanks to Pawlenty's concealed-carry law.

I would so not be allowed to work out there on account of the huge size of my arms.

I call dibs on the "Strait" guy!

Also, listening to conservatives talk when they don't think anyone is listening is frightening.

But, it's so convenient to the Maul of America...

Yeah, lots of workplaces there have those signs. I remember being startled by them when I first visited my firm's Minneapolis offices.

Wow...I know I'm naive as hell, but even when I was a Republican, I believed in freedom of speech. I wanted people to express themselves, not be lined up and shot because I didn't like what they said.

I wish people would do more than give lip service to freedoms. Lately, it's all just lip service.

Is Edina pronounced like Edina Monsoon, or like Medina, Washington?

Dan, you should know that people from Edina love to be called "cake eaters." And you should shout it wherever you encounter them.

Ee-DIE-nuh.

Those guns signs are everywhere in Minnesota. There's a concealed weapon law of some sort passed back in 2002 or 2003. I remember going home after the law passed and seeing those signs everywhere. It was very strange.

@6 totally beat me to the punch... Dan had lots of "nice guns" comments on his pic from yesterday's slog...

The "BANS GUNS IN THESE CREVICES" sign sounds illiterate. I think the wording should be either "BANS GUNS ON THESE PREMISES" or "BANS GUNS IN THESE CREVICES."

The "BANS GUNS IN THESE PREMISES" sign sounds illiterate. I think a better health club sign would be either "BANS GUNS ON THESE PREMISES" or "BANS GUNS IN THESE CREVICES."
