Slog - Comments on Big Guns http://slog.thestranger.com/2008/09/big_guns So I went to the gym this morning in Edina, Minnesota, near my hotel. This was the sign on the door... Being at the convention means you spend most of your time milling around, sitting around, sitting in cars. So... the gym, for an hour. Edina is pretty far out of St. Paul, but our hotel is packed with delegates and journalists and pretty much the nicest, politest, most helpful front-desk staff that I've ever had the pleasure of tormenting with my insane demands. Anyway, there were some delegates working out at the gym, and they weren't feeling very bad... Those guns signs are everywhere in Minnesota. There's a concealed weapon law of some sort passed back in 2002 or 2003. I remember going home after the law passed and seeing those signs everywhere. It was very strange.
