Spielberg's been a good friend. He publically quit his advisory position to the Boy Scouts, a group he was very supportive of for years, over their insistence on continuing the gay ban, and fighting for the right to do it.

I'd like to remind people that other states' have initiatives out too that need help, specifically Arizona. A couple of years ago an anti-marriage iniative was defeated, a rare and historic victory for us. This time it doesn't look so good, as the funding focus shifts (understandably) to California.

However, taken to it's logical conclusion, marriage equality is still single discrimination...and also, alternative family discrimination.

The principle dispute is around money and health benefits. The issue is that a person has the opportunity to add people to his health care plan who are married or birthed by him or her. That is discriminatory in the sense that others may wish to add people to whom they are not married.

Imagine a system where a person simply has "slots" and can add up to some amount of people. Imagine if all things that are "marriage bound" also operate this way.

In my opinion the real crime is that a sacriment...marriage...is used as a social contract. In fact, it is one of the most onerous social contracts, second maybe to slavery...

Seriously, I'm fairly young and tech savvy and the form on the donation page was difficult for me to figure out. Please check it out.

When you go to make a donation, the name field has "Guilford Forbes" in it, and you can't remove it.

You can add your credit card info, but it won't allow you to enter the correct name for that credit card. And I would guess that the credit card number and the name will have to match in order to process the donation.

If you look hard enough, you can find a link to a new form. But this is certain to frustrate and turn away at least some donors.
They need to fix this, but i sent them an email hours ago and have yet to see the fix.

You don't have to be related to a black person to want to see racial equality. You don't have to be a woman to want to see gender equity. Sometimes people want the right thing just because it's the right thing.
