Obama Pride and Equal Rights Washington619 E Pine Street, Seattle, WA
$4.00 wells, $2.00 domestics, $5.50 pitchers
And the blog Sonja’s Kitchen writes to suggest that you have a bunch of people over to your house for arugula salad and other Obamariffic delights. Like so:
I am fired up about the Democratic convention this week! We aren’t THAT into politics, but Obama’s speech this Thursday night seemed like as good a reason as any to have a little get-together. I will admit to having a little bit of Obama-fever though… Join us for homemade pizza (we’ll set up a little pizza bar so you can make your own individual pie) and arugula salad anytime after 6pm… I’m going to whip up some Obamarama cocktails for the occasion. And we may even have some elitist protein bars for dessert.

Hosted by the 43rd District Democrats:
43rd Democrats Obama Watch PartyThursday, August 28, 5:30pm
Spitfire: 2219 4th Ave. in Belltown
Do we know when his speech is scheduled to start?
It's a bit of a mystery, even here in Denver. But the start-times of the parties should give you some indication.
For those of us who are working during the start of things (during Dean and Richardson’s speeches), who has a good stream of everything? Without the stupid talking heads.
The only ONLY way to watch the conventions worth a damn is C-SPAN. and they stream all of it. the only interruptions are the occasional announcement of who is speaking (for radio audience). No commercials either.

The official Democratic National Convention Web site says the speech will be at 7 p.m. Pacific time.
While you Seattlites "celebrate" Obama in your all-white hoity-toidy neighborhoods, we in the 47th District Republicans will be having our picnic at Morrill Meadows Park on Kent East Hill.
Never heard of Kent. Sorry.
I'd estimate 7:30 pm, so plan on arriving before 7 for the warmups.
I'll be at the Spitfire.
We'll pray for rain, John.
I was going to pray for muggers.
Better than preying on muggers.
Spitfire has been very good to me for political coverage. They played all of the MSNBC democratic primary debates there with the sound on in the main room. Great happy hour too.
Sadly I'm in Canada, Vancouver for the week without TV access. Bless you CPAN streaming feed, bless you.
Hey you MFs - you have taken my good name for your criminal purposes.
A picnic in the rain? What about the cake?
God - it is the Bush years all over.
There are a bunch of people congregating at the College Inn Pub at 40th and University Way NE to watch this as well. Speech is at 7pm pacific time.
An estimated 67% of presumed attendees are non-white, or, as poster John Bailo's familiars are perhaps accustomed to saying, "colored."
I will be at my apartment, where I don't have to jostle to get a good position in front of the TV and where the drinks and food are free.
hey #6 then friends and i will be the coffee in the cream! i'll have cafe au lait for you!
Colored? Where are you living...in the deep South? Lose the outdated references....we've evolved.
