Where Are You Getting Stoned Today?

posted by on August 16 at 12:42 PM

westseattletoday.jpgJust because I think Vanessa Ho should go check out Hempfest, that doesn’t mean I’m going to Hempfest. If I were getting stoned today—and I’m not saying that I am (or that I’m not)—I would be getting stoned in West Seattle, on Alki beach, where there’s some sort of beach volleyball tournament going on.

This picture doesn’t do the day, West Seattle, or the beach volleyball players justice, of course, but trust me: there are a lot of gorgeous, lean, sweaty men and women all up and down Alki playing volleyball.

So if you’re not getting stoned at Hempfest, where are you getting stoned today?

Hi, Dan! I already got high before my soccer game this morning...and scored goals of course!

Now I'm going to shower and get high again and watch my tomatoes ripen :-)

Happy day to you.

I get stoned every day on life.

Weed is a crutch, and expensive.

Most of us quit drawing mary jane drawings in our notebooks in the 9th grade ... but to each his/her own.

It is expensive. I spend $60 every 3 months on a bag. I am in the midst of calculation... So far off of this one I have gotten baked 6 times, so, so far it's 10 bucks per. Of course, at this pace, it's going to come out as about $.85 per bake. Oops, that's kinda cheaper than beer. Never mind. Larkin, sounds like you are the dope. Moderation = cheapcheapcheap. And getting stoned on life AND green is twice as great.

Oh, the original question... Getting baked, taking a walk and watching the olympics. Love that boxing and track and field.

Savage,
What the hell did you have for breakfast?

"Stupid Fucking Credulous Hack?"

Doesn't that sound like your coverage of Darcy Burner?

Wherever I get stoned today, Dan Savage, I promise you this: I'll be using the hollowed-out skull of a dead pit bull to smoke the stuff with.

You know, of course, what I'll be using to fight the munchies with.

Can we keep the complaints about Dan's earlier post in the comments for that post, please?

I'm about to get stoned at home, go for a walk, wind up at a bar, then have some beers. I'm from Phoenix, and I love this heat. Pot, beer, sweat, sunset, then home for some more pot. It doesn't get any better than this.

West Seattle getting more and more mentions on the Slog lately... discussing West Seattle alleyways, West Seattle beaches, West Seattle restaurants... it's as if the monorail extended to here.

And I got stoned @ my crib and took my doggie to the doggie park.

Finally, @ 4: I think I'm in like with you. stoner? check. footballer? check. hot? check check!

Sadly, I have no rum, and I have no weed, to stave off the crippling heat.

I am a sad panda.

Speaking of body watching, I had all but given up on the Olympics since it seemed to consist mostly of half-naked male swimmers in Speedos.

But then, my prayers were answered...just when I thought it couldn't get any gloomier, I was eyeing video options in the NBC Olmpics Site (Powered by Silverlight) and I found: Beach Volleyball Cheerleaders.

That's right. They are Cheerleaders who...cheerlead for beach volleyball.

Can it get any better? Watch and see:

Right here, right now, home after 13 hrs working, watching the Olympics, playing online poker, and catching up on Slog.

At a friend's apartment behind Seattle Central, watching 6 hrs. of Olympics. Excellent medicine for a "broken face / I got a broken face / unh huh unh huh unh huh oooh / I got a broken face".

What's with the haters?

I have a great job, and I'm getting a promotion in 2 weeks. I stay busy with various groups, hobbies, and freelance projects. I have a very active social life. My pot use doesn't interfere in the least.

Yeah, some potheads are a waste of space. I'm with #6... all in moderation. Some of you sound like you could stand to smoke up once in a while :P

Sorry, late to the party, but couldn't not report in.

I drove out to Johnston Ridge Observatory yesterday then partook in sight of the biggest smoking bowl of ash around.

Then I drove back to Kelso, and partook again before attending my 30th H.S. reunion.
