The Knox Alliance

posted by on August 18 at 17:32 PM

What’s remarkable in this image that ornaments a very pro Knox story in the Seattle Times?
2008116669.jpg The T-shirt worn by Amanda’s sister, Deanne Knox, says: “Free Amanda and Raffaefle.” What’s remarkable is not the absence of Rudy, but the very presence of Raffaele’s name on the shirt. (Raffaele Sollecito is Amanda’s ex.) Why is it there? While in Italy, I heard with my own living ears Raffaele’s father dismiss Amanda. He wanted to separate his son from her (“a strange woman”). Why all of sudden this show solidarity? Pure PR. It’s not for us to see this T-shirt; it’s for the Italians. The Knox family wants the Italians to link Amanda’s fate with one of their own.

When will the mist clear from this case?

EDITOR'S NOTE: On October 3, 2011, Amanda Knox was acquitted of the murder of Meredith Kercher and released from prison.

Does it say something about falafel?

That they have a "media advisor" in Seattle speaks volumes, I think.

If Amanda Knox didn't go to the UW would any of us really care?

Charles, you misspelled "loving."

She'll be home by Christmas. The Italians screwed up the forensics and don't have shit.

"When will the mist clear from this case?"
When the copy editors actually work past the end of happy hour. Raffaele not Raffaefle, Deanna not Deanne, sentences that aren't. This article was not written by the author of the philosophibabble article posted just before that happy hour. Why all of sudden this show solidarity?

I thought the photo was an homage to Nirvana, not Amanda.

nothing says "not saint" like non-vanilla; ass.

I'm mostly fascinated by what precisely this mist is for Mudede! The objective story is all an illusion, you'll find that particulates are very white.

In light of that, being someone who KNOWS The Know, you'll also find that facts are tenuous, at best. I think that this is just the same treatment that a darker mist might get, you know? Welcome to justice.

"When will the mist clear from this case?"

When the paid PR people and the various paid consultants for the various media outlets fall silent. They should be fired; their image campaign and attempt to manipulate public opinion have totally backfired.

When the Knox and Mellas families fall silent and let justice take its course. Their participation in the image campaign and attempt to manipulate public opinion have totally backfired.

When the suspects are confronted with the evidence and forced to tell a story that makes sense. Their changing alibis and claim that they don't remember because they were too stoned have totally backfired.

In fact, it is not mist that is obscuring the facts of this case. It is hot steam, rising up from the self-replenishing pile of bullsh*t.
