For crying out loud. If you don't love the rain and the overcast skies, why the hell would you pay an arm and a leg to live in the third most expensive market in the US? I went to great lengths to live in this city with the weather I love. And the 3D geography.
But I definitely would move if I didn't like this it. You could throw a dart at the map and it would almost certainly land somewhere cheaper, and with more sun. If that's what you'd rather have.
It'll rain McCain!!!!!!
With a headline like that, I was certain you were about to announce the arrival of visitors from another planet. Color me disappointed (that would be a shade of gray, like the Seattle skies on a stormy summer afternoon).
Yes! You should sto with that kind of "negative talk" about our region. Tsk, tsk! It's unhealthy mentally, to have all those different feelings and things all the time. To be happy you have to have simple thoughts and feelings like, this: "I like the rain!"
All that complexity leads to mental sickness ya know.
Umm...that's something like 4 inches of rain in a month. Not really a big deal.
I think the midwest and east coast regularly get far more severe rain in August than we do, and it's never severe here... I think SW Florida got more rain in 5 minutes recently than we got this entire month. Just sayin'
What are you trying to say, Dan? Were all the cricket and horse racing events in Seattle also cancelled?
We've had the most incredible August in CT. Moderate temperatures and dry air - the best I can remember in my life!
I blame the Chinese and the seeding of clouds to promote rain in Beijing.
ditto #1 !
plus the rain is cleaning our air - my hub has the asthma "and turns out it doesn't go away". . .the bad air quality was getting to him
another plus. . . I don't have to go out and water all my plants/flowers I can sit on my ass and read slog stuff
Cricket racing is inherently barbaric, and I for one join PETA in celebrating its demise!
Oh no! Cricket is cancelled!!
We just had several nearly uninterrupted weeks of sunshine. I think we're due for some rain and that this recent spate of showers isn't a big deal. This IS Seattle, after all.
Doesn't Britain get a lot of rain anyway?
