The Pepsi Challenge

posted by on August 26 at 15:25 PM

-4.jpg At the gate of the Pepsi Center: The young man in the green shirt, pro-life, pro-war, pro-America; the woman in the orange shirt, pro-choice, pro-peace, pro-global community. She is with World Can’t Wait; he is with something or other. This was the conclusion of the main protest of the afternoon. Really, the far left is in shambles. I had expected much more than this—squabbling with nutters that even regular dems dismiss.

And yes, I thought Daryl Hannah would be here.

Next: Ralph Nader. Val Kilmer will be at this rally.

I don't understand why we haven't ended the war and established universal health care with protesters like this on our side.

That aint nuthing--the real fun was yesterday when the Anti-Abortion protestors (and some lone nut playing the harmonica, with a giant crucifix around his neck, and waving a VOTE FOR JESUS sign) shared the street for a brief moment with a giant TROJANS condoms van. (Click my url for photos.)

Take the Pepsi Challenge!??!

I guess it's going around... something in the air so to speak.

Here's one for the I o u's or is it the I saw yooo's?

anyway...

There was this guy who walked out of a bar, and the guy on the street is whipping his dirty finger smudge on his brand new bumper sticker and brush gaurd saying nothing at all.

The guy just out of the bar, ever restrained by the fact of no alcohol tolerances in a vehicle zone says something like..

" Hey there mister... whatch ya' think the other mister's gonna do when he sees your finger all over his tail pipe?"

The man said nothing and walked away.

The good news?

The voice of THE DEVIL later came in after TEMPTATION had reared it's beautiful head and said SCRATCH THE HOOD!

Well, our hereisourheero says to the angels in the air....

" Wait a second... it will wash off and isn't there a possibility that what this situation presents to the left is a place where we can say no harm no foul?
...and....

don't escalate maybe there is a reason for contemplation."

And all of Gods little children on the right said amen.

Two friends took time off work and spent their own money to get to Denver this week to do political action. They know it's a mess, but couldn't stomach not even trying. I knew I couldn't risk the embarrassment myself, so I'm cat-sitting for them.

When the mainstream cool-kids-club won't return your calls, all you have left to talk to is the opposing fringe.

I went for a walk to Denver's Cheesman Park, which my host assured me was a "great place to get away from the DNC madness" (read--"cruisy") ...only to stumble across a PUMA "rally" struggling to get going with some Indigo-Girlsian singers, a lot of Hillary yard signs, and about a dozen attendees. Oh, and a Winibago covered in photoshopped photos of famous female icons (including ISIS from the 70s Saturday Morning show) with tiger-faces photoshopped onto them, guarded by a small dog inside that seemed to be named "Macho" if I heard the gay male driver of the Winnie correctly.

Pics I got will hit my blog/the Stranger Flickr pool soon.

C'mon Charles! Where is the William Randolph Hearst in you? Throw a Molotov cocktail and start reporting on the aftermath!

If Obama wins, the entire left goes into long-term political homelessness.

He can't be "pro-life" and "pro-war".

He's not serving a combat tour in Iraq.

And he's not raising ten orphans now that he's back after losing two legs to IEDs.

Please, just call him a coward who likes to pretend he's not a coward.

Let's get real.
