@4 - Just because someone is religious doesn't make them a fanatic. And just because the candidates address religious topics doesn't mean they're pandering.

The press is saying Obama came off as the "loser," simply because he didn't tell the crowd what they wanted to hear. He told them what he believed. That doesn't sound like pandering to me.

I love the Olive Garden. I don't know what all you haters are on about. I've been to the supposedly best pasta places around town - Pomodoro on Eastlake, Pallino, La Piazza - and the pasta at Olive Garden is always the same or only marginally worse. Considering that the staff at those other places all have nasty attitudes, cost twice as much, and Olive Garden's salad is tasty and endless, the only reason people hate on Olive Garden is because they think they're being Hip and Cool by doing so. When you move out of your parent's basement and have to pay your own bills (assuming you don't have a trust fund) then you'll change your attitudes.

I am totally with the pandering to the regious zealots that both of the candidates did this weekend being out of control and BTW, it's also FUCKING UNCONSTITUIONAL!!! (see Section 6 Article 3 of the US Constitution)

I hear one of the resident Playmates at the Playboy Mansion is a great fan of the Olive Garden too.

Personally I find it kind of sad. If you've never been to Italy or lived in a town with lots of Italians or Greeks, you might think it's great too, but to my mind it's a sign of a less adventurous and less well-traveled spirit.

Hey OG @10, all I'm saying is that none of the other Italian places you mention have ever caused me to spend an entire afternoon on the toilet shitting out my intestines (and this has happened multiple times, I'm not just judging on a single experience). If it's "Hip and Cool" to want to avoid diarrhea, then call me the hippest guy in town.

I don't know why everybody feels like they need to dump on Olive Garden. I've been there dozens of times, and they always have tasty food, good wine, and quick service. Maybe it's because I always go to the one in Kirkland, and the people there know what the hell they're doing?

@23: Bellevue Ave has an aversion to most chain restaurants, although he does love the wings (and ONLY the wings) at Azteca. Olive Garden seems to be at the top of the list even though I can think of tons of places that are a lot worse.
