I love it when people equate achievement with money.

Looking on the bright side, it looks like you can conclude that you don't have to be particularly smart to be a successful banker in the U.K., just self-serving. And who can't manage that?

Perhaps those at the top of the corporate power structure would find this beautiful.

Grace Jones has scared the crap out of me since I was a child. I'm pretty sure Conan the Destroyer had a lot to do with it. Oh, and "Demolition Man."

Charles, you've completely lost me. But I still adore you almost as much as I love Grace Jones.

Wow... When did Grace Jones start producing self indulgent bullshit?... Totally didn't see that coming.

Grace Jones is brilliant. She's always been two steps ahead. Go back and view her old videos, she had everybody in them. She only scared me when she appeared to be too drunk to function and I thought she'd embarrass her bad self. Now when she was "on" she was truly impressive.

Charles, thanks for the brilliant Grace Jones piece. I appreciate an artist who stays relevant.

If you ever read anything post-'68, do let us know.

oh, 1968.

sorry if that wasn't clear.

Marxists can be such pedantics.

@9 "Pedants"? I thought it was 'peasants'... (oh wait- that's 'Commies'! forgive me...)
For some reason this inspired a remembrance of Aristide's slogan in the Haitian presidential bid (that he won): Poverty with Dignity. Of course, his blatantly obvious push to inspire the poor got him kidnapped & 'evicted'- to Africa- to enable a more corporate- friendly regime an opportunity there. (I remember Baby Doc Duvalier, upon his overthrow, being whisked away to Paris on a USAF jet...) Thanks, Charles... ^..^
