Ha! I'm not the only one with dumbass neighbors ('Dude! You punched my truck, you fucking dick!). Also, they listen to ungodly amounts of Dave Matthews Band. Coincidence? You be the judge.

It's hot out. People go ape shit when it's hot out.

@1 - Yes, Dave Matthews is on the soundtrack in Hell.

Here I go on vacation for a couple weeks, and all mention of the Critical Mass rampage is missing from The Slog. I miss those threads. The raw anger reminded me of 1968. Can we have it back please?

@4,

Only if it's directed at an issue - say our illegal occupation of Iraq - that merits it.

I lived in five different apartments on the hill between 1994 and 2001 (minus a couple years in the Udistrict and Wallingford), including one that was supposedly an upscale condo building (we rented from the owner of the unit). Shit like this was pretty much a regular occurrence at all of them. Which is why I no longer live up there.

The worst was this really skanky stripper in my first apartment building who used to practice her routines, in combat boots, upstairs at 4 a.m. while cracked out of her mind. After several days of pleading with her we finally got her arrested, and when she came back, she tried to smash in our door with a hammer while screaming "I'm going to kill you". That was my first week in Seattle.

ha! yeah, some bitch threw plates at me through a 2 inch crack in her window there. She thought we were drug dealing but really we were moving a tacky couch. She was deranged, her hair told me so.

@2 and almost everyone else for the win.

But I've seen this kind of thing in Fremont, Ballard, the U Dist, and Wallingford, actually.

Summertime ...
