Where's "Fuck you, commie queer"?
I guess you already knocked 1 or 2 off since I don't see Schweitzer anywhere. Or maybe I missed something.
When Hillary steals the nomination next week in Denver (don't laugh, I am half expecting it to happen) does she have to keep Obama's choice of VP?
I've never even heard of this Tom Dsachle character, so I'm definitely not choosing him.
I voted for Janet Napolitano because she was in Concrete Blonde.
NPR is suggesting that Colin Powell could be a candidate for Barack's VP. I'd stamp that chad with both hands.
I'm still not seeing my fav, Caroline Kennedy.
I don't know if this is a FF 3.0 problem, but I just see Lovelab/LustLub/musician ads in that frame.
136 votes in and Al Gore is winning.
@8, Colin Powell would hurt Obama; that entire lying to the United Nations in the run up to the war.
What? Is Angelina Jolie too busy to be VP?
@12, I'm not so convinced that would. Look at the way people respond to W and McCain when they declare something to be correct, damn the evidence? They view the ability to be wrong and know it, yet still declare with absolute authority that it is ture, as a strength. Who better equipped that Powell?
@10 I fixed a little bit of the coding that may have been causing the problem. It should work for you now.
@15: And I think that Colin maybe came away cleaner than most in the Bush administration by virtue of getting out years ago. Condi Rice, on the other hand, is stained forever. An Obama/Powell ticket could be an incredible thing.
I voted Biden in the poll. He's got the energy and experience to be everything that fuckwit Lieberman wasn't in 2000.
Dsachle? Seriously? Give the guy a little respect and correct this misspelling of his name, k?
You left out La Pequeña Hillary Clinton (because she's got wicked style) and Madonna (just because they could adopt Hakuna Matata as their campaign song:
They might seem strange
But they'll bring change
Al Gore, followed by Gov. Sibelius and Paris Hilton.
Yeah, I know Biden's probably got the nom, but I never liked him, and he's usually a war freak.
I thought there already was a vp-pick poll a couple of months ago on Slog?
Biden, Clinton and Gore are going strong in the poll right now. You guys are bringing me down - I'm going to boingboing.
What? No love for Goodspaceguy Nelson?
I feel dumb asking this, but here goes: Who's Chet Edwards? Sounds like some combination of Chet Culver and John Edwards.
And what's with the Chet Edwards boomlet.
Granted, he sounds like someone who would have a moustache ... but he doesn't.
@24 - no, he's the primary choice for the 7th CD ..
TONIGHT WE DINE IN CENTER FOR AMERICAN PROGRESSAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not a big fan of Biden historically, but I think he's the best match for Obama. He brings heat where Obama brings cool, and he's great at directly attacking the opposition. Remember his "9/11, a noun, and a verb" comment about Giuliani? That's the guy you want running for VP. He also brings foreign policy and military experience even if he's far too hawkish for my tastes.
I even think his tendency to make gaffes is a plus. The media will love to cover him and it will keep them off the hunt for the usual GOP smears on Obama. The voters don't give a shit if the VP nominee is a verbal loose cannon. They voted for Dan Quayle in 1988, after all.
I'd never vote for Biden for president, but in eight years he'll be so old that he'll never beat out his potential competitors. Plus, he is an old Senate hand and can help guide Obama's legislation through Congress.

I (really) like Bill Richardson as a matter of policies, but have his supporters on the site watched him on the Sunday morning polls lately? He can't put up a spirited fight and half the time he looks like he'd rather be back in bed. Love the beard, though.
As much as I've grown to dislike her supporters and her political hack team, I picked Hillary because I really do think it would make Obama a sure thing. I think she brings in mor people than she loses.
FWIW, Mark Warner took himself out of the VP-stakes a long time ago as well - and I'm sure he's serious about it. There is no way he's giving up that locked down VA Senate seat and front-runner status in 2012 if Obama loses.
@30: You're spamming a 'post deleted' message now? Well, thanks for saving the admins a step, I guess.
I don't really like any of the above much. Biden annoys the fuck out of me, and is a huge windbag.
And what's with the suggestions of Colin Powell? Didn't any of you get the message? Powell is a Republican, and thus makes an unlikely choice for VP on the Democratic ticket. No thank you.
senator daschle's daughter might DQ him...
anyway, we've been pulling for mark warner. mostly because he's really friggin smart and john edwards decided to self destruct.
outside of that, potentially wesley clark would be interesting against a mccain/petraeus ticket.
could be a veritable VP smackdown.
Who spammed the poll for John Kerry?
Where are NADER, KUCINICH, and DEAN?
I know - let's go with the Safe Candidate. That always works.
What about Andrew Young? He's good with money and if Obama ever effes up, Andrew can take the heat.
@38 - the problem with selecting Kucinich is that he's a Democratic Representative for Ohio. Not quite as crucial as a senator, but still a key player in a red state.
And we need him around when Cindy Sheehan unseats Pelosi so we can finally indite those law breaking scum.
Where's Howard Dean, dammit?
Still not getting anything but ads.
Mike Gravel is such an obvious pick for VP, he just wasn't even an option.
i think bloomberg would be fantastic but I don't know if the rest of the country knows what a great job he did not letting nyc's economy become a cluster fuck. They might just all think of him as the mayor of nyc. Plus it'd be fun to listen to all the sexual harassment charges against him again.
