But Obama definitely has to decide on a VP by next Wednesday, when the mystery man or woman is scheduled to be formally introduced at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. So with that deadline looming let's see what the Slog mob thinks should happen. Remember, we're talking here about what should happen, in your humble opinions, not what will happen. He brings heat where Obama brings cool, and he's great at directly attacking the opposition. Remember his "9/11, a noun, and a verb" comment about Giuliani? That's the guy you want running for VP. He also brings foreign policy and military experience even if he's far too hawkish for my tastes.

I even think his tendency to make gaffes is a plus. The media will love to cover him and it will keep them off the hunt for the usual GOP smears on Obama. The voters don't give a shit if the VP nominee is a verbal loose cannon. They voted for Dan Quayle in 1988, after all.

I'd never vote for Biden for president, but in eight years he'll be so old that he'll never beat out his potential competitors. Plus, he is an old Senate hand and can help guide Obama's legislation through Congress.
