The industrial hemp argument is idiotic because that is something that could be legalized and put into production while also retaining the illegal status of marijuana (and also sabotaging the efforts of growing potent pot).

But, FWIW, it doesn't make sex better for most people.

How about people going to prison? How about people losing their custody rights? If it is all just a smoke screen to puff nugs then why bring all of this industrial hemp infrastructure to the park?

No, it is too easy for those of you who don't come to Hempfest to live within your little (tobacco, latte and alcohol drenched) bubbles so you can continue to be ignorant about our true mission. That way you can babble on self righteously all smug with the relentless and predictable drivel we hear every year.

Contrary to what you all project on this movement, it is really just about equality and human rights. Yeh, burn your tie dye if it makes you feel superior, but leave our Constitution alone please.

If hempfest was just about hemp, and at that industrial hemp, you could have a good time without the pot or the pretense that this is about human rights.

You will not understand any of t hat however unless you peruse our website, read our program, listen to our speakers, witness the speaker panels, take in the girth and the magnitude of the energy present in the park. No, we will still be thrown against a wall of stereotypes, we will be relegated to the worn out and faded counter-culture references or worse yet, the Cheech-and-Chongification that we get.
