I know I wouldn't support a candidate just because they matched my demographic, but not only does he have the chance to support a black man, but that black man is Barack Obama, so he gets to support a black man who is also the best Presidential candidate out of the dozens who ran from both all parties.

Polling to date is equivocal, but Obama may be on track to underperform Kerry with African-American voters. (He'll probably make it up in turnout.)
