Slog - Comments on Reading Tonight

And up at Third Place Books, Kate Veitch reads from Without a Backwards Glance, which is apparently already a bestseller in Germany. It's about a mother's secrets...

Y'know, Simon & Schuster makes the same author comparisons about my novel about family secrets -- Standing Still. Must be a trend. Still, I bet Kate's book is great. I'll check it out!

Wow, Will, I didn't realize you were such a connoisseur of the real down-home way of speakin'.

Electric guitar blues is always, always, always an embarrassment, perpetrated exclusively for the amusement of clueless middleaged white frat types, usually wearing Hawaiian shirts and ponytails. The last good blues record was made before World War Two, and didn't have any guitars on it at all.
