Okay, I'm really frightened - did her "hybrid energy policy" sort of make sense to anyone else?

I hate to admit it, but that was pretty funny, and she did a great job. I guess our little hell cat is all grown up now (sniffle sniffle)...

Like she came up with this? As if.

#1 - was thinking the same thing. Of course, that would imply a sort of near socialist level of cooperation between government and competing industries, but if a candidate had said it, I'd probably be nodding along.

@3 see: satire.

Also, the white trash in me kind of really wants to fuck her. I'm having a hard time coming to terms with this, so to speak.

@1 the plan doesn't really make sense because the drilling isn't a short term solution. Its at best a long term postponement, it takes years of investment in capital to bring an oil rig up to production, no way it would bring in benefits before alternative tax credits.

God i can't believe i seriously had to debunk a Paris Hilton policy proposal. shoot me now.

I'm assuming she's just getting an early start on her 2016 campaign, as that's the earliest she'll be eligible.

I don't think she'll be old enough in 2016, and of course she didn't come up with that. Nonetheless, girlfriend does gots a sense of humor on her!
I'd take her for President over what we've currently got...

um...ok..wait...my respect for paris hilton just showed up and it's freaking me out. not only was she articulate and seemingly smart, she appears to be somewhat physically attractive. it's making my brain think. i hope she keeps this sort of thing up, she might just save us all.

Under an Obama presidency, Paris Hilton will be an articulate, responsible, contributing member of society.

um, 1? Thats what obama proposed a couple of days ago actually. Paris Hilton's info on his stance is a bit out of date.

I love it. And I give her credit for making fun of herself in a backhanded way. Love the line, "see you at the debate, bitches."

You toolios are such suckers for Obama that you'd momentary suck on the teet of Paris Hilton? That's so predictable. Who's your daddy? Morgan Freeman?

Posted by Cute | August 5, 2008 9:54 PM

A. I'd have sucked Paris Hilton's teat before I saw this.

B. I'd have liked to have had Morgan Freeman for a dad.

C. I thought it was funny.

D. Paris' dad has already donated the max to the McCain campaign...I doubt she's voting against dad's money in November.

There are a couple of lessons for McCain here:

1. When someone's grandfather contributes nearly $53,000 to your campaign and the RNC, and someone's parents each contribute the legal maximum to your campaign, don't take - and I quote Jon Stewart here - a nationally televised dump on their daughter.

2. Don't then say you are proud of those ads in spite of a (sort of) media backlash and negative reviews from not only her mother, but your own.

3. Getting into a spotlight war with Paris Hilton is a bad move.

4. Karma works, bitches.

Poe, your response here makes you sound stupid. Sorry, dude.

No, Hilton actually seems to have delivered here. OF COURSE she didn't come up with the dialogue or the stupid-ass energy policy she delivers. But the way she goes about it is hilarious and it seems she understands why she's in this video.

I thought it may have been the most intelligent thing she's ever done. But, Poe, you're fucking blind, dude. I understand.

@27: It certainly wasn't stupid, but it was stating the obvious. I guess your erstwhile detractor has come to expect more from you. I myself expect nothing, and get nothing in return.

People expect something from me? Wait, people expect something more from me? Last time I checked I wasn't getting paid to Slog. Those people are morons, and my "fans" can suck my dick and die.

A bit self-aggrandizing, eh? Certainly, your posts are often witty and humourous, but often as not tiresome and common. It's also possible for somone to take a fleeting interest in what you write, is it not? If not, why write?

Also, it's a good bet I'll die before I suck your dick, but thanks for thinking of me:)....lol....+1

I post on Slog because someone is always holding a gun to my head and forcing me to do it. Duh.
