I know the US isn't very efficient, but that note was postmarked July 29th and you just got it on August 11th? There's your story... :D

The repeated iamb-pyrrhic-trochee meter proves an interesting counterpoint to the content - how can the author be so convinced in the value of structure when his own poetry scans so weakly? The couplet form is here rendered as little more effective and much less capable of tripping off the tongue than a schoolyard taunt or a hooligan's penalty kick chant.

We've gotten at least three of these postcards, probably one a week. I have one on my desk, too. I'm hoping that one day the author will reveal him/herself and I can get him/her to sign my copy.
