Praying At The Pump?

posted by on August 21 at 9:06 AM

God ain’t hearing it.

Tensions with Russia about a deal between Washington and Poland to install a missile defense system in Eastern Europe — seen as a threat by Moscow — and the continued presence of Russia in Georgia contributed greatly to the bullish mood.

Light, sweet crude for October delivery jumped $6 to $121.56 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was crude’s highest trading level since Aug. 7.

A nation that prays at the gas pump deserves to be destroyed.

Hm, it's almost as if they're expecting the Great Grandpa In Teh Sky to make those numbers roll back down before their very eyes!

Which means, if this works, these guys are going to be making a killing next week on the slots at their nearest casino.

In today's WSJ, they did a poll that showed that less than 50 percent of America wants to drill offshore for oil, but more than 70 percent of America wants to invest in alternative energy sources instead and more than 60 percent want plug-in hybrid cars sooner rather than later.

@2 - Ha, I think you're right. Isn't there something in the Ten Commandments about how you're not supposed to worship false idols?

I guess gas pump is the new golden calf.
