Man, that Hells Angels chapter is going to have a lot of 'splainin' to do - getting beat-down to the point of almost being murdered by a bunch of Xtian bikers - how embarrassing.

@1&@2: those were my first two thoughts as well... those hells angels should be more then a little embarrassed by getting beat up by some christian bikers. but then, attempted murder? i'm not a "boys will be boys" apologist, but aren't there other, more suitable charges for a brawl like this?

i guess i need more details to say for certain. in such a case, you'd think the reporter would provide that sort of information. instead, the writing includes at least a paragraph about how the group these christian bikers belong to sells onesies from their web site.

@1 I believe the Christians put on righteousness as their body armor, placed helmets of salvation on their heads, clothed themselves with robes of vengence, and wrapped themselves in cloaks of divine passion. They had shields of faith and used swords as their weapons.

So lets set the record straight Set Free Soldiers may have at one time in the past been christain, lets be real its far from the truth today. When phil stept away from Servants for christ with the new and so called improved Set Free soldiers, for one he had purchased a bar, started drinking again and blew his sobriety out the window as well as his credability in my opinion. So as far as i am concerned if your christain it does'nt matter what you look like where you come from or who you are and / or what lable you carry. If you have a relationship with Jesus Christ and walk the walk in all that you do in life thats your choice, just do us all a favor dont through a lable on something thats not. If your kid was involved in a stabing, how would you you react? GOD is Holy and HE may or may not give Phil a pass just because he is saved. When the Roman soldiers came to arrest Jesus the bible says they didn’t recognize Jesus because Jesus dressed and looked like the people he was reaching out to.
Jesus was falsely accused because many people hated him and said all kinds of mean things about him. The bible says “beware when all men speak well of you”. They told all kinds of lies about Him and the people of that time completely misunderstood Him.
None of us are perfect but then again Christ came for people who aren’t perfect. There was another guy named King David who was one of God’s greatest leaders. The bible called King David “a man after God’s own heart”. Yet David put a contract out on a guy’s life and had him killed. And the whole reason David did that was because David slept with the guy’s wife and didn’t want the guy to find out.
I understand those of you who have never read the bible but still hate Christianity. I also understand all the haters of Jesus because I was the same way. I use to bash Jesus and say He wasn't real so I hear you. Just know Jesus loves you as much as He loves me so don't worry He will be there for you if you ever change your mind.

Peter attacked a Roman soldier in defence of Jesus when they came to arrest him. That is the only time Peter is mentioned to have a sword. Quite different from hanging in a bar and getting in a fight with a outlaw gang, who happen to be rivals of another outlaw gang that Set Free Soldiers affiliate with. Phil has performed wedding and funeral services for the rival outlaw club. Mr. Seymour, I notice you quote quite a bit from the Bible, but the Apostle Paul tells us (and Paul's doctrines are the doctrines that church age Christians should pay attention to) that just because we are under grace, does not give us licence (to sin). So, if the guys from "SFS" are going to associate with an outlaw M/C that has a notorious reputation (and I am not judging any members of SFS personally), then the old saying "if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck" applies. Personally, I don't think that the guys from "SFS" where in the bar to witness, not if what dogglick says is true that it was 30+ to 4.

I know there are alot of people out there that love Phil.If you want to compare King David and his life to Phil, dont leave out the part that David repented. Still the Bible says that the sword did not depart from his house. Davids daughter was raped, his son was killed and that was after he repented. We are held to a higher standard. If he does not repent, read
1 Cor 5:5 and you tell me if GOD will treat him differently then anyone else.
