The problem with hempfest and CM, is that the most ardent supporters of each do not realize how stupid they look to the vast majority of people. People who vote, write letters, and otherwise affect policy.

At least hempfest is out of the way and pretty harmless to those who don't care. CM however makes me want to oppose bicycle infrastructure. Not to mention that it would be tempting, given the right of away, to simply plow into some of the fuckers. Douchebaggery needs to be more painful.

For the record I am generally in favor of both weed and biking.

Off topic: I am discouraged that I have not yet found the source of the idea that Seattle's mixed geography caused the classes and races to mix more than other cities, preventing the formation of hard-core slums and ghettos. I'll find it though. If I don't, I'm going to take credit for it.

What's ground breaking about the M's is their flirting -- oh so gently -- with 30 Games Behind.

That's right, for a while the Washington Nationals were challenging their lockbox on GB -- but no longer.

We're right at 30.

Can we make 40.
