Someone applying for a liquor license at that location doesn't mean that the "Crocodile Cafe" is reopening, nor necessarily that any live music venue is forthcoming. The same location (not enough live music venues in the area) and financial constraints (skyhigh rent) would seem to work against another music venue, even removing the allegedly incompetent management of the last crew.
Holder of liquor license may not necessarily be owner/operator of the restaurant. If it turns out to be Via Tribunali (as suggested in my post on Cornichon over the weekend), you heard it there first. If not, never mind.
yay
