The HVAC unit closest to my cube has been broken since Sunday. Opening a window in my apartment is useless. Needless to say, my buttcrack has been raining all day.
close your windows and drapes in the morning. don't open them again until evening when it's cool outside again.
My house is more like an easy bake oven and I'm a tiny cake, slowly baking.
Ha ha. You're poor! I'm not.
I'm at the duck island right now for this exact reason. 82 in my brick apartment. Weird that I read this after I left my place.
TOTAL AIR AT THE OFFICE - ALMOST TOO COLD - BIG WINDOWS TO SEE A PARK, BIG DOORS TO OPEN IN THE COOL OF THE EVENING
THE AIR C. IS AN OLD SYSTEM THAT IS FAN WISPING NOISY BUT WORKS 100 PER CENT
PERHAPS I SHOULD OFFER REFUGE
at yoga last night, we all got to know our sweat in ways I never imagined.
Ugh. When I got home yesterday, my apartment had a strong odor of sun-baked garbage from the dumpster across the way.
My place was so hot yesterday I came home to find my candles all drooping over in their holders. A sad sight.
Don't sweat the petty things. Pet the sweaty things.
Normally, it works to stick a fan in the window to suck in the night time cool air, but for once, there really WASN'T any nighttime cool air...
Still, it's not Kansas hot, so I'm thankful.
jesus what a pansy. this weather is PERFECT, not hot.
a. you have no insulation in your ceiling.
b. did you do what #2 said?
Seriously, this is when living in a basement apartment with eastern exposure is soooooo nice.
And spending the evening in your yard with a chilled beverage is NEVER a bad idea this time of year.
Soak it up. You'll need it in a few months.
Just fill the freezer with ice cubes and make margaritas in the blender - works fine for me.
And open the bedroom windows 2 hours before you go to bed so it's not too hot to sleep.
