I don't get it. 14th and Aloha is a nice quiet area in my experience. why the sudden mayhem?

If you want to name a street after peace, love and compassion, don't do it in the language of a race nearly driven to extinction by colonialism. Bad juju that.

Everything I think of "Aloha" I have visions of waiting on Broadway for a udist #7 bus, seeing a #7 approach, and then getting frustrated when I noticed the "Aloha" as the destination. I know I wasn't the only person pissed off at that sneaky Aloha bus.

A fight broke out when Critical Mass was there.

A fight also broke out when Critical Mass wasn't there.

Therefore, Critical Mass was not the principle agent that caused the fight.

You cannot infer causality from correlation (unless your name is Al Gore).

It's because we shot the first and last scenes of Cthulhu there. I'm sorry. Still waiting for this curse to pass.

or...

A pit bull and a Critical Mass cycler crossed paths. A NIMBY (has a friend on the Seattle City Council)on 14th and Aloha did not like the noise of the altercation while tending to his P-patch and called the cops. The cops raced up 12th in time to see the pit bull gnawing at the tire on the drunken cycler's bike.

Meanwhile over in Volunteer Park....

Now and then August Wilson sits on the front stoop of his old house at 14th & Aloha. His presence stirs up the blood of whoever passes by. Walk past some time and you'll feel it, for better or worse depending on what you've got in you that day.
