Chow Mmmmm, HOT POCKETS: Now with Foreign Materials!

The greatness/grossness of the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service email updates is indisputable (remember our old friends Class II Recall of Frozen Cattle Heads That Contain Prohibited Materials and Hot Beef Carcasses?). Now the USDA is being good enough to tell you WHERE the food with E. coli, Listeria, botulism, “undeclared allergens,” mislabeling, and good old “adulteration” is being sold, so if you got some, you might have a clue about it. (Or, if you didn’t get some, maybe you still could!)
The latest recall is from Nestlé, involving approximately 215,660 pounds of pepperoni HOT POCKETS® that “may contain [unspecified but presumably undelicious] foreign materials” (“The problem was discovered after the company received consumer complaints”).

Hotpockets.com was one of the first websites I remember visiting, back when you had multiple search engines for different things. I couldn't think of anything else to put in to "hide" the porn I was looking at (so it would be a heavy scroll down from the history. me was youngz). It was straight porn too. Okay, signing off now. oh NO. Poor Brad Steinbacher...I think he basically still lives off Hot Pockets. Maybe all the liquor consumed w/said Pockets kills any nasties...? Still WHAT will he eat now? Frozen pizza still safe...ain't it?
I grew up in Memphis and indeed, Easy Way markets were a fixture of my 1970s childhood. I'm just amazed there were no Hot Pockets recalled from Peter Pan's Pantry.
Starting in 2009, all stores will have to label the country of origin of all meats and vegetables.
Man, gonna be a lot of surprised Red Bushies who have been outsourcing jobs for years given a wake up call then!
How bad did those things have to taste before someone complained?
