It behooves him to support leaders who will continue to drive people to websites to find sex through (shaming gays, no marriages, etc).

It's weird when it the window just sits there transmitting the comment and you have second thoughts about it, cancel, check to make sure it didn't clear, then paste/change and resubmit and HELLO they're both there.

Manhunt is a shitty website anyway. Now, tell me that the owner of bear411 gives money to idiotic GOPers and I'll be very sad.

Aren't all meat market websites, gay or straight, shitty?

Well he has a point -- it's not like Obama is going to legalize gay marriage.

Oh, quit whining Dominic. There's more to this world then people's sexual orientation. Luckily, you're not in a position of much responsiblity. For those who are, they tend to have to make important choices that occasionally have to leave a few behind for the sake of the many. Get over yourself.

Of course he's going to give money to Republicans. They're his most loyal customers.

McCain accepts gay porn money? OMG! Call FOX news. OOPS. Nevermind.

As an Obama supporter, I don't want to concede the Commander in Chief argument. To say that McCain is eminently qualified to be Commander in Chief is a bit like saying the Tom Cruise character in Top Gun is eminently qualified to be Commander in Chief. I give McCain credit for being a veteran and, yes, a war hero, but I don't give him credit for having experience as a military leader or for having the demeanor and judgment to decide whether to risk other Americans' lives.

This is a hotheaded guy who jokes about bombing Iran and has reduced the complicated Russia-Georgia conflict to a distorted caricature.

I'm sooooo glad I'm one of those cheap/poor bastards who only has a FREE Manhunt account...

I had my account deleted after:

1). Reading the Out Magazine article about Manhunt and realizing I had been thinking the same thing for months

2). Learning about this contribution

3). Turning 45 and accordingly becoming gray meat to most of the guys there

It's the same guys doing the same thing to the same guys. I'm going Old Skool and meeting dudes in real life from now on.

Newsflash: gay marriage isn't the most important issue for all Americans. Could it possibly be the case that he is financially successful, and realizes that he does not want to see the American tax system utilized as a means of wealth redistribution?

Manhunt is gross. Go to a fucking bar. Is it really that hard to hookup? No. It isn't.

john cocktosin nails it. rich white gay men will vote for mccain because they do not give two shits about equal rights or gay marriage, just the profit margin.

I thought this one of the oldest tactics in the lame politics playbook..

Step 1: Have someone regarded as 'bad' donate money to candidate

Step 2: Get news coverage

Step 3: Have said 'bad' person say they LIKE candidate

Step 4: Average person who supports candidate questions why 'bad' person like their candidate.

Step 5: Success!

Manhunt is only fun when you steal pictures of a hottie from another city and makeup a fake account with a fake name and tailor the profile so you can then make friends with the dumb male prostitute that the guy you're in love with is shacked up with (and who's completely lying about his age; 35 my ass!)in order to find out more info on their idiotic relationship and to keep the hope alive that you can one day use that information to break them up and snatch up your unattainable crush and live happily ever after in a Craftsmen cottage by the sea...

or so I hear.

@9

The guy who runs Manhunt has attained a position of much responsibility?

Posted by elenchos | August 13, 2008 4:39 PM

@20, I'm also told, by, oh...someone...that it's fun to get pictures of a hotty from another city and hit on all the guys that never replied to you or blocked you and when they go all apeshit, unlock their photos and beg you to fuck them -- you block their asses without so much as a fare-thee-well.

Or so I'm told.

Jonathan Crutchley is making millions of dollars a year (literally) off of Manhunt. He is supporting McCain for one reason, and one reason only: to protect his tax bracket. Under Obama, it is entirely likely that the taxes will go up on multi-millionaires (boo hoo!). All his other excuses are bullshit.

@15 The idea that the Republican Party is the bailiwick of the rich is wrong-headed. If you look at voting figures poor whites are more likely to vote Republican than Democrat. Actually, many of the richest Americans are Democrats who favor higher taxation because they realize that basic necessities like healthcare and higher education benifit everyone by creating citizens who are more able to contibute to society.
