Good article in NYT today about white Bubba voters in Racoon Township PA being the slice OBama needs to get. Another piece in op eds today about how he could do better among older women, too.

how does picking Biden change this:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/?map=10

Attacking McCain is great and allows all the folks who are already pro Obama to celebrate how bad McCain is, blah lbah blah. He's bad. Got it. It's fun to revel in it.

But Obama needs to show Bubba and older women exactly how he Obama will put money in their pocket and make their future better with specific language.

The way Clinton did in 1992 and did in office for eight years and the way Clinton was doing earlier this year in the primaries.

It's obvious his memory, including whether or not the red button is good or bad, is shot.

That's totally not a telltale sign of excessive wealth.

i really couldn't care less how many houses john mccain owns as a tool to evaluate his economic policy. if anything, it's a sign of his success (even if it is success-in-law).

john mccain says the economy is fine... but ask yourself... is it?

john mccain says the war in iraq is going well... but ask yourself... is it?

john mccain paints obama as an out-of-touch elitist... but who is wealthier? try walking in his shoes indeed! you cannot afford to.

no, john mccain already has seven houses he cannot manage to keep track. let's not give him an eighth he can't manage...

And there's your next ad's closing line.

He doesn't know what makes one rich (dollarwise).
He doesn't know how many homes he owns.
He doesn't know if health insurance companies should cover Viagra but not birth control.

But he does know how to find Bin Laden?

Sadly, what he does know will get him elected.

Well clearly John McCain loves America, because he owns so much of it.

"This is a guy who lived in one house for five and a half years -- in prison," spokesman Brian Rogers told the Washington Post.

@16. if they want us to consider his prison was a house, then, technically speaking, it was his second home.
